  1. Wow, thanks all! Just to say thanks to you all for your help! With all the good advice given (in under 5 1/2 hours!), I'm fairly sure I can do this {rolls up sleeves and boots up Hero Designer} - Boy, is that program better than my old graphical calculator! I'm now certain that Daystar/Nightmare will be a Multiform, based off the mental patient (who is a true hermaphrodite). I'm still trying to decide between Accidental Change (which is maybe more random than I intended) and the actual Limitations given by ghost-angel. Mirrorshade has always been more intended to be a background kind of character, so I don't mind spending loads of points (and time) on the self-referencing Drain/VPP Multiform. Most of his changes are intended to be off-camera anyway {shrugs} Just so long as I have an explanation if the players (not characters) dig! And thanks for the compliment, DocSamson! Thanks all, although any more advice is also welcome!
  2. First, I would like to say a quick hi! to all the forum users. I'm new here, and I haven't played Champions/Hero system since 1995, so I'm a bit rusty. I'm going to be GMing a campaign for some friends, and need help with putting together a couple of my world's signiture characters. I was hoping that a few people may be able to help oil the wheels. The first concept is for the main superhero/supervillian. The character is a mental patient with serious mental illnesses, and a huge multiform. The form that is active during the day is 'Daystar' - the world's premier superheroine, who has a host of sun/fire/PRE powers, whilst the night time form is 'Nightmare' - the world's worst supervillian, a guy with a host of mental image/control and fear powers. The actual mental patient only appears for a few hours at dusk and dawn. Now, I need some limitations to represent the fact that the forms don't (and psychologically can't) know about each other - which I guess is the multiform amnesia, but I'm not certain how to do the time constraints. I'm thinking some form of trigger, with one charge and an 10 hour duration. The second concept is for my world's 'Batman' style character. He is really a cross between Batman,Rogue and Mystique. Called 'Mirrorshade', he is intended to have some of the lower point Dark Champions style powers, such as stealth and teleport when people aren't looking, only to logical places type affairs. He is, however, supposed to have the potential to duplicate any given character, appearance stats and powers. He dresses in a cowled cloak, with a mirrored mask, and the power idea is that he will Drain anyone who's reflection is caught in the mirror. My idea is along the lines of a Drain that feeds itself, so the weak Drain at first accelerates as he drains a powerful villian (or hero), and a variable power pool that is only to duplicate powers of the drainee. Maybe a tangle to represent people being caught in the mirror, and some limitations freezing mirrorshade until the copy is complete. Maybe also the Disguise skill in the VPP to duplicate the form?? As I said, I'm about 11 years rusty, and have only just got my hands on 5th Ed revised, so I was looking to see if anyone could provide some friendly help/pointers. Thanks all!
