Ok, been a while.  I got it to "start" but it stalls on Loading plugins. See the attached image.  Any thoughts?  I deleted and redownloaded the files.

The file association is, I suspect, the culprit.  I think I messed it up when I tried to open it before having Java and I accidently tried to open it with Acrobat.  😞.

Simon- I did not read the Command prompt note (twice 🙂 )  That worked.  I am a Mac guy.  New to PCs. Thanks for your patience working this newb through this!

The only Java, non developer type, download that I see is Java 8 Update 311

Unclevlad - What Java 17 should I download: Java SE Development Kit 17.0.1? 

Simon - I am having no success.  I can run other Java applications.  I use Vassal with no difficulties.  HD still will not open.

I purchased a Windows 11 machine last month.  I tried running HD6 on it and, even after getting Java 8 (update 311), it will not launch.  Any advice?

My concept is to fight defensively by waiting for an opponent to attack and then using martial block with one weapon to set up a counterstrike with the other.  I know that this is normally a two phase procedure but will two weapon fighting allow one "attack" to be allocated to the martial block and a second attack allocated to counterstrike?

Thanks for the input. My major issue was the search feature I guess.  When I search downloads for the format, I get an error message.  I will sift manually.

I am using Hero Designer 6, screen shot of build below.  I would like the the hdc file that replicates the official character sheet sound in the 6th edition rule book.  Does it exist?

I tried searching this forum and the website but I keep hitting error messages.
