  1. Re: Blue Man

The sonic vulnerability seems counter to a character based on a music group.

These guys aren't actually musicians. I'm just using their appearances and actions.

Alright, I will spend some time rewriting the character. I'm having trouble getting what I want with the point total I have. I'm thinking of making him/them mildly telepathic if I can...

  2. Re: Blue Man

Well, I did open this up for critique. In my defense though this is probably my third character ever made so I'm not up to you guys' level yet. I have 4 SPD because it is expensive and I wanted to be able to afford 2 duplicates but I may be able to tweak up to a 6. I chose the sonic vulnerability because I wanted his (alien) race to be vulnerable to some sort of attack and thought sonics could be tied in to the mute thing.... sounded good at the time:o

Methinks this guy needs to be tuned a bit more. I had thought about making the original form a bit stronger so maybe I will try that and scrooge some points here & there... Thanks for the input though.

  3. Re: The Brick Hall Of Fame

I nominate Strong Guy from XFactor. Near Hulk level strength and absorbs kinetic energy making him even stronger. The combination makes him potentially the strongest character ever in comics. A funny character too. Very under used. He could have had his own title if he were used right...

Real life Brick: Phil Pfister (2006 World's Strongest Man)

  4. I may call him something else but for now he is Blue man. I gave up on my retarded hero due to him seeming rather bland. So, with the player who wanted three characters in one body switching to a straight up energy projector... I decided to pounce on the idea. I was inspired by watching a Blue Man Group performance (goofy I know but I thought it would provide a lot of role playing potential) so I based my character of of them. I am also using 4th edition so if this needs to be adjusted for 5th ed. let me know because I plan on getting it soon.

Blue Man (375 point campaign, may do some minor tweaking)

DUPLICATION: +2 forms of equal point value

    Disadvantages:

Accidental Change: unwanted duplication when stressed

Distinctive Features: Blue skin and golden eyes (Major reaction/ hard to conceal)

    Hunted By: Homeworld aliens

Hunted By: US Government (of course)

    Physical Limitation: Totally mute

    Psychological Limitation: Extremely Curious

    Psychological Limitation: Code vs. Killing

I left the point values for the Disadvantages out because I am not sure how I want to distribute them. So.....

Tell me what you think. Ideas. Likes or dislikes. He/they will eventually become the team's scientist.

    Thanks.

  5. Re: First role playing memory

So...why does a footman's mace do more damage? And why does a lucerne hammer have a pointy end?

Footman's mace is a bit heavier than a horseman's mace. A lucern hammer has a pointy end because it was designed to pierce plate armour. Think of it as a big can opener :D

  6. Re: First role playing memory

Well I don't remember how we found out about the caves, but I do remember my brother asking me in which order the characters were going up. I don't remember the names or anything about my character, but I do remember seeing the entrance of the cave. He asked.

Were you playing "The Keep on the Borderlands"? Sounds a lot like my first D&D game. We were all 1st level of course, I was a thief, and our DM thought it ok to slide a ghoul into a mix of skeletons and zombies. I saw the first member of our party get paralyzed... and then the second.... and then the third... I decided to hide... fourth guy got killed by the skellies & zombies, and the 6th guy (we had a full party) ran away. I was well hid but the ghoul found me but could not reach me. The skellies & zombies were mindless so they just meandered around like stoned hippies at a WHO concert. I starved to death in that little hidey hole.

Out of the 6 of us only me and another guy showed up for the next session...

  7. Re: How do mutants work out?

Yes. As long as there is a chance that they "may be secretly among you" then the media will play that up and help create the fear. Medias are good fot that. The media helps to stir racial tensions and helps create dislike for the gay communities and certain religions. The media in your game could be used to promote the hate.

  8. Re: Group so far.

Yeah. I can post a write up of mine tomorrow when I go to work (character is in a notebook I left in my locker at work...). I can only offer mine as I am not in the possession of the other character sheets. I will try to obtain them for you...

  9. All characters are in production and I will post them all for review when they are complete but here is what we have so far:

BUBBA: Me, retarded Captain America type.

    Mr. Fixit: Gadgeteer/Power Armour

Dapper Dan: Rich, influential guy who really isn't rich... just faking it. A scammer with weak mental powers but pretty good at the gambling/High Society thing.

Two Tons of Fun: Brick with two heads and permanent growth/density increase.

Trillium: Chick with two people living inside her. She has no powers but is loaded with skills and combat ability. The two inside her can emerge for combat and have fire/cold powers respectively. They cannot survive for long separated from the original body. Named for a flower with three petals. She exudes the aroma of the flower which makes it easier for her to be tracked.... and stuff.

Still looking for 1 or 2 players...

Its taking us a while to build these characters because this is the first time we have built them without GM assistance.

  10. Our group is scraping together points for a base and a vehicle. Who here thinks they can give me the best?

We have 25 points to spare for the base and another 25 points for the vehicle. :o

Remember that we are a fledgling, low budget group. We took someone's suggestions on the Inferior Five and rolled that in with the Tick and Mystery Men for a group of spectacular inadequacy!

    Quote:

Other player(s) in our game is wanting some advice on a character since you have given me good advice I thought I would ask your opinion on this one...

Character: A guy with two heads. Two completely different personalities but one body. If the body dies both die but if one head dies the other can live. Each head/person has its own powers which originates from the head (eye beams or whatever). Is this treated as two separate characters?

If that's what they are, why not?

So make two characters with some physical disadvantages? Oh, some good ideas are coming to me for this. A personality/ego battle for control of the body... randomly.

The body is pretty strong and athletic with good fighting skills but we don't know how to go about building separate powers for each "individual". Ideas?

Character: Three people in one body. Smart, scientific-type (not power armour, just smart skilled type is the main 'obvious' person. The other two can separate from the original body when needed for combat or whatever but cannot stay separated for long periods. One is a fire wielder and the other is a cold wielder. Would this be a multiform of sorts?

I think our GM is in trouble, lol...

  13. Re: Dumb Hero

As a Redneck Jedi do you use telekinesis to get get beer from the fridge to avoid missing the Sunday afternoon football game? ;)

Yup. "I am a Jedi Knight and the force is strong with me, y'all!" :D
