I don't think either team actually had a black member but if so that's quite outrageous - how dare they be so out-of-period!

Humm, was Beast in the Champions? Iceman and Angel were charter members, but I think Hank was in the Avengers at the time. He did rejoin Bobby and Warren as they transfered to the Defenders, and presided over that group's demise.

Back on topic. For your fad hero how about a Black martial artist who's powers come from his breakdancing moves?

    Looking forward to it, thanks!

  3. 0450 - Belial (fallen angel of Christian Old Testament)

"Belial" only occurs in the Hebrew Testiment as part of a compound phrase, "children of Belial," "daughter of Belial," "men of Belial," etc. It does not seem to be a proper name, but means worthless or wicked. In the Christian Testiment, Paul does us it as a Proper name.

  4. 0305 - Astaroth (fallen angel of Christian Old Testament)

Humm. Could we say "Hebrew Testiment" instead of "Christian Old Testament"? Calling it the CHRISTIAN Old Testiment discounts that it is part of the scripture of the Jews.

Second, Fallen Angel? Astaroth was a city in Bashan east of the Jordan, or a goddesses in the Canaanite religion, usually related to fertility. Was also (IIRC) the wizard who taught animals to talk in Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

Possibly this could have been Azazel, a fallen angel from the Book of Enoch?

"And Azazel taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all coloring tinctures. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways. Semjâzâ taught enchantments, and root-cuttings, 'Armârôs the resolving of enchantments, Barâqîjâl (taught) astrology, Kôkabêl the constellations, Êzêqêêl the knowledge of the clouds, Araqiêl the signs of the earth, Shamsiêl the signs of the sun, and Sariêl the course of the moon. And as men perished, they cried, and their cry went up to heaven..."

  5. Haerandir, "Seige" is the front runner so far.

Where do the powers come form? He doesn't know. Suspects he's a mutant, isn't sure. Just as far back as he can remember the harder he got hit the less he felt it.

What's it look like? Definitely visable at higher energy levels, but no particular color. An area of visual distortion, al la the movie Dune.

What's he do? Almost the prototypical Gen X er, Just graduated High School with a solid B average, was working fast food when he heard about the tryout for a new reality show "Who Wants to be a Superhero." Had never tried to use he power offensively before that, the entangle and battering ram are the result of experimenting with his powers for the past few weeks.

Thanks again everyone, good suggestions, but "Siege" is just it so far.

  6. One of my players has come up with a character, but we can't come up with a name for him.

All characteristics are unaltered, except for DEX (20), and SPD (6).

He has Physical and Energy Absorption, with linked 0 End Force Field (only up to amount rolled by absorption) and Knockback Resistance.

Points absorbed go to a Multipower, with additional 0 End Force Field powers; an additional personal force field, a force field useable by others at range, an entangle (with force field SX), and an energy blast (area effect line and zero range, a force field battering ram).

(Yes, I realize he's a sitting duck for the first Stun-Only attack that comes along, but this is what the player wants.)

But no name comes to mind.

Personality-wise the character is not a pacifist, but not very aggressive either. His powers have conditioned him to not be the one throwing the first punch, he tends to be more re-active than pro-active. He has no code against killing, but is not a casual killer either. In fact he sees his power as turning his opponents energy back on themselves, almost the definition of reasonable force.

Thank you everyone for all consideration given to this.

  7. What is the criteria for which ones go in the Fuzzys? Want to review these?

    0168 - Android Ant

    1248 - Crusader Wolf

    1504 - Doc Croc

    1562 - Doctor Silverback

    3877 - Phydeaux

    4515 - Semper Flea

    4616 - Shockroach

    Oh, and BTW,

    4022 - Protomech

    4023 - Protomech

    It is?

I thought it was more commonly accepted that Angels have Free Will, that they CAN sin, but they choose not to.

So instead of a physical limitation, I would have given the character a high Ego, or levels to bring up the Ego roll to at least 17.

  9. What's the difference between being the Bear God and a wer-bear? I'm told White Wolf's wer-bears have some interesting powers, both combat and healing.

If he's a bear, HKA and enhanced sense, discrimitory smell, are IMHO required.

The Bear God? Summon/speak with/command bears. Maybe some form of ckairvoyance, sees through the eyes of any bear. Skinchanging, can change a human (especally a hunter) into a bear and assume their form. Maybe some bearlike powers useable on others that can be bestowed as blessings.

Any other dieties in the campagine? What are their powers? Can one even call onesself a diety without ID movement and teleport any place on the planet?

It's as good as it sounds.

Not to mention being Nancy Walker's directorial debut. Every bit as good as it sounds. I believe that movie was Disco's official cause of death.

How steriotypical are you going to get with this? May want to give the leatherman some sort of absorption ability; the harder you hit him, the better he likes it.

Genre convention use to demand a distaff member on every team, maybe you want to give the flannel-clad cyborg construction worker a sex change?

  11. And now the complication, is C.L.O.W.N. going to stand idily by while this is going on? Or if they perceive negotiations have stalled (Foxbat is not moving on his demand for the Gilligan's Island cast, and the authorities cannot produce them due to the minor technicality that three of them are dead) will they mount a frontal assault on Foxbat's HQ? Might the PC's have to protect Foxbat in order to defeat him later?

Or reverse that, might the PC's assault on Foxbat be resisted by C.L.O.W.N. out of fear that the world's sense of humor might be damaged in the melee?
