...Ok, now I'm confused. Where's Constant?

I decided to see what a write-up might be for a sword that attacks independently of its owner. Except I can't add Persistent without Constant. And Constant means that (according to the HD info), once it hits, it can keep hitting without needing to roll. "This Advantage allows a character to use an Attack Power on a continuing basis without having to make a new Attack Roll every Phase against the same target." Exact text. Not what I want, either.

So I decide to check the rules text. I go to my handy searchable .pdf, go to the Power Advantages section and search for Constant.

It's not there. I looked manually, as well. No sign of it.

I go to the Killing Attack Power and search for Constant. The first jump takes me to Leaping.

Steve? Dude? What?

Re: ...Ok, now I'm confused. Where's Constant?

Wouldn't that be under Duration Advantages?

Ah, there it is. It was hiding on me!

It looks like what I'm looking for, as a Custom Modifier, would be "Limited Constant: Must Make Attack Roll For Each Use".

Also, as a spell and as an item:

Dancing Blade Spell: (Total: 45 Active Cost, 25 Real Cost) Blade: Killing Attack - Hand-To-Hand 1d6, Limited Constant: Must Make Attack Roll For Each Use (+1/4), Persistent (+1/4), Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2) (30 Active Points); Limited Power Power loses about half of its effectiveness (No OCV Bonus From Character; -1), No STR Bonus (-1/2), Gestures (-1/4), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 10) plus Dancing: +5 with Blade (Real Cost: 15)

Dancing Blade: (Total: 45 Active Cost, 23 Real Cost) Blade: Killing Attack - Hand-To-Hand 1d6, Limited Constant: Must Make Attack Roll For Each Use (+1/4), Persistent (+1/4), Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2) (30 Active Points); Limited Power Power loses about half of its effectiveness (No OCV Bonus From Character; -1), No STR Bonus (-1/2), Lockout (Cannot apply Constant attacks; only one target allowed; -1/2), OIF (-1/2) (Real Cost: 8) plus Dancing: +5 with Blade (Real Cost: 15)
