Steve Long
A mentalist knows he hit the target, and that he affected him, but he doesn't necessarily know how badly he hurt him, or the like -- any more so that a person who fires a gun at someone can tell every single time whether he's inflicted a really bad wound, or a trivial wound. There may be some instances where a GM would consider it appropriate to give a mentalist more information about the effects of his attack, but it's not required.
