shem_whistler
Hi, In Sidekick page 16 it says "STR costs Endurance to use - 1 END per 10 points of STR. (Heroic games sometimes charge 1 END per 5 STR, since characters use STR so much with weapons and the like.)" My question centres on the 'sometimes' part of that statement. How do I know when? Is it a Gm/Campaign setting rule? Or is it decided by another means? Cheers Shem
Blue Jogger
Re: Endurance for Strength Short answer: It's a GM/setting rule. Longer answer: In campaigns where superheroic strength and superpowers (including higher speeds) come into play, the endurance cost increases noticably. To prevent superheroes from passing out from just doing what superheroes do (before going into superhero battles), the rule of 1 END per 10 active points is used. In contrast, in some games, it is incredibly unrealistic (to the setting) to have characters march all day carrying backpacks and not be exhausted. In those cases, 1 END per 5 active points is used.
