spaceprincessecho
I'm a bit new to the boards, and I see scattered about are people making references to a 'fred'. I've picked up that this refers to the HERO 5th edition book, but I'm really rather curious as to how such a moniker came about.
Steve Long
Re: Fred? Not much to it, really. The old 4th Edition book used to be known as the BBB (for "Big Blue Book"). Shortly before 5E came out, someone asked what the 5E book should be called. I jokingly answered "You can call it "Fred" for all I care, as long as you buy a copy. " It boomeranged on me and the name was adopted; some people retroactively decided it meant "Fifth Rules EDition."
