3. If a character uses Mind Scan to locate a target for a Mental attack or power, and does not have Line Of Sight to that target, if he stops using Mind Scan for any reason (or if the target succeeds with a roll to break out of the Mind Scan) then any powers maintained or used through the Mind Scan lock-on instantly stop working when the Mind Scan stops working.

 

FRED, page 79: the target *can* attemt to resist a successful mental illusions, mind control, mind scan or telepathy attack with a modified ego roll called a breakout roll

 

So? Is this in the errata then? I did not find it anyways, but the errata+faq is quite long.

I don't see how the one point contradicts the other.

 

It's not in the FAQ because you just asked about it. It gets updated on a monthly basis, not after every question.
