MicroMike
On p. 249 of 5ER is a nice picture of a cone AE. However, the character's forward facing is in-between two hexes. How do you calculate the area if the character is facing a single hex? (ie the character is facing with one hex line directly in front)
Steve Long
Re: AE (Cone) and facing Just whip out a ruler and measure a 60 degree angle area of the appropriate size. If you've got The HERO System Bestiary there's a template of a Cone 6" long you can use, if you're working with a map that's 1" = 1 inch scale. (Or, you could photocopy it at different sizes for other scales.)
