Can't Hurt Me

Dennis Shaw

Question

In the Ultimate Brick the defensive power Can't Hurt Me got me thinking:

1-One example of the power was bought as persistent. Could you buy it as persistent, inherant, and always on? ( In addition to the apropriate LS of coarse. )

2-If an attack is not strong enough to get through the force wall are you still affected by it's knockback. If the answer is no what value would there be for an "affected by knockback" limitation?

3-You are required to buy the advantage Indirect for your STR if you wish to use it while this power is activated. Do you have to do the same thing with movement powers?

Re: Can't Hurt Me

1. That’s up to the GM. Nothing in the rules specifically forbids it, but some GMs might have game balance or “realism” objections.

2. If an attack doesn’t do enough BODY damage to get through a Force Wall, it does not do Knockback to the character who created the Force Wall. If the character wants to take Knockback from any attack that could do KB regardless of whether it penetrates the Force Wall or not, he can take that as a -1/2 form of the Feedback Limitation.

3. No; see 5ER 179, bottom right.
