She only has one goal and that is Black Kojiâ€™s death and can not see beyond that. Due to the fact of her possible happiness was taken away from her, Mai is willing to help any girl her age in trouble.Quote:"When Black Koji is laid to rest, then I too can rest."Background: Mai and her friend had stayed at the Karaoke bar, a little too late to catch the train. That was when Mai suggested they take a short cut and they should be able to make the station before the train left. Unfortunately that was to be a very bad choice, for they stumbled upon a Yakuza hit by a man called Black Koji in a dark area of the alley they found themselves in. Now Black Koji was not the sort to let a bunch of school girls be witnesses against him so he acted with hesitation and shot each one of them in the knee cap. He then began to sadistically torture each of them one by one before killing them. The girl next found themselves on the bridge between this world and the next. Without their mortal body, they no longer felt fear but the yearning for vengeance, and though they knew it may damn their souls, they summoned up their spiritual energy to send of them back to Earth as avenging angel. Mai was chosen due to the fact that it was her choice that led them down the alley way. Because of the power of the vow of vengeance Mai cannot die until Black Koji is killed by her hand and due to a twist of fate, he now canâ€™t die unless killed by Mai. Once back in our world, Mai began to prepare herself to hunt down Black Koji. She studied martial arts and learned to use a gun. She familiarized herself with the seedy underbelly of society. It was through this process that she learned that Black Koji was sent to the US after the murder of her and her friends until the heat dies down. So Mai acquired an illegal passport and enter the US to hunt down the man who ended her and her friends lives. Powers/Tactics: Mai prefers using her martial arts over a gun, but wonâ€™t hesitate to use one to her advantage. Also she takes a lot of risks in combat due to her unique existence. After all she does get better.Campaign Use: Mai fits best in a campaign with hints of the weird about it. She can also be played in a regular campaign by dropping her unique gifts and adjusting her story so that she survived Black Kojiâ€™s attack.Over Her Head: Mai has taken to protecting a girl who also saw something she wasnâ€™t supposed to. Unfortunately Mai soon discovers that she has bitten off more then she can chew. Now she is looking for people to help and the PCs just might be those people. The Unstoppable Assassin: Black Kojiâ€™s Yakuza family has discovered the essence of Mai and Black Kojiâ€™s existence. They have kidnapped Mai and are holding her, so that Black Koji can not be stopped. Now there are rumours on the streets of an assassin that comes back from the dead and is impossible to kill.
