Bonjour,

 

According your previous answer, does this suppose you can grab a car with casual STR as a zero phase, then throw it to the range limit determined by casual STR ?

So, you can't grab as a 0 phase action with casual strength, then throw it with your full Strength.

 

More generally, does this imply that you can't switch STR between casual & full STR during the same phase ?

Characters can use both Casual STR and normal STR during the same Phase, as indicated by, among other things, the rules for using Casual STR to break out of Entangles and Grabs. What a character can’t do is use Casual STR to make attacks as Zero-Phase Actions. If it’s an attack, it’s an Attack Action, regardless of how much STR a character chooses to use. Performing the Grab on the car constitutes an Attack Action, whether the character then throws or squeezes the car, so it can’t be a Zero-Phase Action. Since it’s got to take a Half or Full Phase as an Attack Action (depending on when it’s performed), the character might as well use full STR — using Casual STR does not benefit him at all.
