Naked Advantage: Usable By Other

Shike019

Question

Steve,

I had a question about mechanics on a naked advantage: Usable By Other. The Usable By Other advantage states that the "borrower" of the power decides when to give it back. And the Naked Advantage description states that a Naked Advantage is a power in and of itself. So, if I loan a power to someone else, using the naked UBO, then turn off the naked UBO, do I regain control of my loaned power?

No. This isn’t really any different than activating a standard UBO power to grant it to someone, then “turning off” the power because the grant has been accomplished — the power’s just built differently. Buying UBO as a naked Advantage doesn’t allow a character to get around the basic rule that a UBO-granted power comes under the control of the grantee, not the grantor.
