Grabs and Contortionist

How often can contortionist be used to escape a grab if the first attempt fails?

 

Once every phase the character acts (Any Phase after an opponent Grabs a character with this Skill, he can use Contortionist to help him break out. pg37)? Or only 'until the situation changes in the character's favor' (pg 26).
