Alkai
Title pretty much says it all. If I purchase Aid with the limitation "only works on self", would that be worth a 1/2 limitation, or more? By the way, I love the game. I picked it up awhile ago but we are just getting around to playing it (hopefully I've jogged them sufficiently out of d20, at least for the moment). tesuji
Re: Quick Question about Aid and Proper Limitation for Self Only Many will argue that self-only at -1/2 is wrong, at least for some, and that its a lot higher. Example: 1d6 AID to strength = 10 ap/10 rp Self only drops it to 7 that allows you to get +6 strength with no figured characteristics that you have to spend actions to dial up and that fades. Whereas +6 strength "no figureds" is worth 4 cp always there. heck for 6 cp buy the strength outright and then have +3 stun, +1 pd, +1 rec as gravy. but then you get into things like 1d6 Aid with raised max value to 10 cp +2 (all physical characteristics, primary and physical) Fading 5 cp per hours "self-only" as a multipower slot and the cost seems... not so high? Vondy
Re: Quick Question about Aid and Proper Limitation for Self Only As Sean said, the standard value in the book is -1/2. Due to the cost versus value issue raised by Tetsuji I generally allow -1.
