Telekinesis + Weapon = Ranged HKA?

Hi Steve,

 

I've read earlier postings here that indicated that as per P230 in 5ER, Telekinesis can be used to wield weapons, and on an earlier posting the STR could be applied.

 

Taking the question one step further, since TK is essentially STR at range, does this also mean that a HTH weapon can now be used at range using TK? Will the indirectness of TK still apply?

 

For example, could our TK-empowered villain use his TK to maneuver a knife around to strike at the hero's back, or would this need to be purchased as a separate RKA with indirect advantages?

Yes, Telekinesis can be used to wield melee weapons at a distance, and the character could find ways to make Surprise Attacks like moving the weapon in behind an unsuspecting target.
