Background/History: From the beginning there has always been a need for vengeance. Revenge was born of that need, it does not know what created it or how it was created only that it is and it serves to bring justice to those who have been wronged.

 

In the time before science Revenge walked the earth in a frantic stride. The whisper of its name called out to it, from the lips of those who sought vengeance but lacked the strength to take it, Revenge served them unerringly. As science took hold man slowly forgot the true name of Revenge learning instead to make new tools to seek thing grizzly need.

 

For centuries Revenge lay dormant, resting below the mausoleum of his last master. It is rumored that during the second Great War Revenge stalked the streets of Poland unable to rest as the suffering of others cried out without a name, but thus is the nature of rumors.

 

It is unknown where Revenge waits, only that when it is called upon it will come. Pray for the soul of those who may have the spirit unleashed.

 

Appearance: Revenge appears as a lumbering disfigured corpse. Pieces of muscle and bone peek through rotted flesh. The body, apparently held together by leather straps and chains, radiates fiery black aura.

 

 

 

Concept Stuff:

I found myself doing a streak of mutant and technology based characters for the Metahumans Rising campaign to help me flesh out the background. However, I had always wanted to keep magic as a viable option for characters. While this was rumbling around I was also spending time going over various types religious/magical philosophies. Somehow I got the idea to build a set of spirits/NPCs that could easily be slipped in without any religious type of influence.
