Smart-Swarm-Seeker AI Missiles..?

Hey,

I've had this build idea floating around in my head, and upon trying to get it onto paper i've run into a few problems (aka i have no idea where to start)

The basic concept is a computer guided missile, but it has the ability to network with other missiles of the same type and form a tactical net (and if enough link, an AI). the missiles only purpose is to reach its target (or possibly to defend it). The more missiles the smarter the swarm (dodging point defense fire, targeting key systems, etc..).

I'm also think of allowing the missiles to be launched against another swarm (in essence anti-missile missiles)

any thoughts, feelings, harsh comments, or desires to see me locked away :ugly:

please share!

Again' date=' this is the Hero system. You have to focus on the [i']effect[/i], not the cause.

If I am reading you correctly, the effect is an increase in the to-hit roll that rises with the number of missiles in the net.

Nyrath's right. The swarm concept works by overwhelming the ability for the enemy to defend against the missiles. On the offensive, it is just an OCV bonus with either, a damage bonus based on how much you hit by, or just use autofire for the missile attack. Defensively, an OCV bonus and Missile Deflection.
