Americium could be used to fuel nuclear rockets

It's an old news, but still, it hasn't been mentionned on this forum.

Americium 242 could still sustain chain reaction while in a micron thick sheet, making it possible to reach Mars within two weeks by building what I understand as an hybride form of two types of nuclear roquets:
