Maneuver DCV Bonuses and Stunned Characters

prestidigitator

Question

If a character has Dodged to increase his DCV until his next Phase, and then someone manages to hit him and Stun him, does he lose the DCV bonus due to Dodge in addition to having his DCV halved because of being Stunned? And if the character keeps the Dodge DCV bonus, does he keep it until he Recovers from Being Stunned, or until he actually gets a Phase to act? I know CSL's deactivate, but I haven't seen anything about DCV bonuses due to maneuvers. Is the answer different for non-defensive maneuvers that increase DCV, such as Defensive Strike?

Thank you!

Re: Maneuver DCV Bonuses and Stunned Characters

The DCV bonus from a Combat/Martial Maneuver lasts from when the character performs the Maneuver until his next Phase (6E2 54). If a character is Stunned, his DCV is halved (6E2 104). Any effect that halves DCV is applied as the last step in determining a character’s DCV (6E2 37). Thus, if a character becomes Stunned, his DCV as modified by the Maneuver is halved. If he recovers from being Stunned before the Maneuver’s bonus wears off, the bonus continues to apply in full until the character's next Phase.
