Indirect and Entangle Interaction

The Watcher

Question

When attacking an entagled character with an Indirect attack, does the Entangle count as an intervening barrier that can be bypassed such as a fence or a Force Wall, or does it count as a personal defense the way a Force Field or Armor would?

And if the answer is special effects dependent, how would you rule if the Entangle was a Dimensional Trap (Page 62 of the UNTIL Superpowers Database) and the Indirect Attack was a Multidirectional Danger Portal (Page 62 of the Until Superpowers Database)?

Well, everything is special effects dependent, technically. None of my answers, or the rules in the book, forbid the GM from changing things if he feels the special effects involved justify doing so.

That being said, the default answer is this: an Entangle counts as a “personal defense” for purposes of Indirect.
