Possession

Question

Consider a ghost with Possession linked to Projection; they are thus Desolid when they are in control of their victim. Suppose the ghost wanted to enhance the characteristics of the victim, or grant new powers to it (for example, boosting the victim's STR, or giving them Flight). How should these enhancements be bought? In particular:

- Does the victim need to be considered a separate character from the ghost? If not, then can the characteristics and powers just belong to the ghost with an "only while possessing victim" limit?

- Since the ghost is desolid, do all of the powers need to have "Affects physical World"?

Re: Possession

1. Yes, the victim is considered a separate character from the character Possessing him. So if the Possessing character wants to enhance the victim’s Characteristics as you describe, he’d need to use Aid or Characteristics with some form of the Usable On Others Advantage; if he wanted to grant the victim a power the victim doesn’t have, the Possessing character would need to use UOO.

2. Yes (though of course the GM is free to rule otherwise if he thinks doing so wouldn’t cause any game balance problems or would otherwise be appropriate).
