Tae Kwon Dan Posted November 12, 2003 Report Share Posted November 12, 2003 Okay, one of my future players got his own copy of FREd and has been playing around with background info for his Disadvantages and such. Without giving out a ton of detail on the character he basically has a checkered past between his childhood and how he obtained his powers. To escape this he's had to start his life over multiple times as far as his Secret Identity (he has the Anonymity perk). He wants to have two different Hunteds that break down like this. Group A) Are hunting his powers so they have been able to make the connection between his Super Hero persona and the man they are looking for. They cannot link the Super Hero to the man they are looking for publically, because by public records the man they are looking for no longer exists. Group B)Are hunting a past identity for a transgression created "out of uniform." They have no idea what his new Identity is nor his relation to Super Hero X. He was all concerned about his Secret Identity and the Anonymity perk messing with me, but to me it's basically all separate. Group A) wants his powers so they have linked Super Hero X to the man they want and Group has no way of finding him except by bumping into him "out of uniform." So I said it would just be covered under the activation rolls for the Hunteds. With Group B)showing up very rarely and probably only in the adventure created to buy off the Disad and Group A) being a more constant thorn in the side of Super Hero X. Vondy Posted November 12, 2003 Report Share Posted November 12, 2003 It seems like a passable solution to me (especially since I don't actually roll hunteds, but use them when I have an idea for them, using the roll as a rough guideline of how big and frequent an event they should be). Like I sort of touched on, I think I'll probably only use Group B right around the time he's ready to buy them off and that one I can remove the Disad in story.
