Green Latern is just a character who found the ancient ring of Allakazham while exploring ancient ruins. The human torch is an inventer of a remarkable fluid that burns on top of skin for hours without causing damage to the wearer. The Thing was once a navel pilot that crashed on a mysterious island and contracted a strang fungal growth that transformed his body into a hulking mass of protective plant material resembling an orange rock like substance.

So you got dragons breathing balefire in fantasy games. In the supers corner are people that can punch through tank armor. So what do you, as a player in pulp, find that holds your intrest. Is it character development, 2 fisted action, or something else that keeps you coming back?

wow-I didn't think so many of you would be into lower point value characters. Very interesting. That's why Hero rocks, you do what you want with the system.

I'm just curious as to what people like to play in terms of power level when in a fantasy game. Do you keep the points low and play it grim and realistic? Do you like characters that ooze magic and fighters that have sword energy attacks and other out there abilities? Are you in the middle or just play the Hero version of D&D?

That is a harsh punishment for crime. You break the law you don't get to evolve. We would be over run with apes if that was the case here on Earth.

In the campaign I'm in now all the baddies are Zerg with different names and some cosmetic changes. They are also fond of assimulating other species so we get some personality with our villians and not just alot of grunting and claws.

Thanks for the links and info. As far as roleplaying it goes, I'm in a group right now using D20 Modern to play a game based loosely on the Starcraft ideas but with different names. We are all specialists in our fields which includes : xenobiologist, medical doctor, several fighter types, and a robot berserker. We go on different missions that range from kill this threat to discover the source of... So far the game has been fun for over several months now but as always I'm trying to introduce the Hero Sytem.

I can't find any info on Starcraft resources which seems odd. There must be one person out there rolling killing attacks against those insideous Zerg.

There is also a book based on the philosphy of Watchmen. I read as much as I could before a hyper vigilant clerk at Borders bookstore got testy with me. Found it interesting.

If you want the effect of a wrestler without giving away your true nature just but telekenisis with a restriction on wrestling manuevers. You could have a limited from of telekenisis that covers your body like a thin invisible suit that boosts any normal physical action you do. Mind over matter with a super-twist.
