  1. Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore

My homemade mac and cheese just came out of the oven. I'm going to let it sit for a few minutes. It's not especially health -- it was made with penne' date=' three cups of Sharp Cheddar and Colby Jack cheese, topped with more cheddar and featured two Chili Cheese smoked sausages and my last Hebrew National hot dog. (It is definitely non-kosher -- my understanding of the kosher food code is that you never add meat of any kind to a dish made with milk or cheese).[/quote']

My friend make "sacrilege dogs" You cook up some bacon, then the Hebrew National kosher hot dogs in the same pan. Add cheese to the bun to make bacon-cheese hot dogs (mustard and sauerkraut optional) They're sacrilegiously delicious! We're trying to figure out a way to make them more offensive to various groups, and still be yummy.

I simply can't resist a cat, particularly a purring one. They are the cleanest, cunningest, and most intelligent things I know, outside of the girl you love, of course.

I picked up a five pound' date=' ten ounce lasagna at the store for just 8 dollars; Marie Callender's, too, not a house brand. This should give me leftovers for a week.[/quote']

I used to get those periodically, for the same reason (tons of leftovers). Making your own lasagna is actually quite easy. They make noodles that are partially baked or some such, so you just need to layer meat, noodles, cheese, and sauce and just bake the whole mess. That way you get full control of what goes in. Last time I made it, I used homemade lactose-free ricotta to make it a bit more friendly to people with dietary restrictions.

    Lockout.

It had it's share of rubber-movie physics and plot holes, but pretty much delivered on what it was supposed to be, so I'll forgive a lot. Could have used a few beers, but I'm taking a break from drinking.

I should probably use this time to watch some good, classic movies...

The Man with the Iron Fists.

I can't say it was good. It was very schlocky. And cheesy. And gore splattered. Parts of it came off like bad fan-fiction. The only reason I saw it was a friend of mine put the call out to go see a movie together as a group, and I had a gift card collecting dust. I think it would be greatly improved by a pair of beers.

Which we had after the movie, when the lot of us tried out an english-style pub we had heard about.

    Mmmm... Shepherd's Pie....

(But the foodie threads are over there...)

I find myself thinking about the two-part structure of the evacuated region. The rough sphere in contact with the muzzle is probably just the gases that (in air) make the muzzle flash' date=' but the "rifled" striping on the long tail probably come at least in part from the spinning bullet entraining water downrange of the initial gas bubble.[/quote']

You are over-thinking it. It's just a gun that shoots ice cream cones.
