  1. Re: Any voip/skype super games? at all? I'd prefer to leave the universe/setting to the gm's choice. As for the "Style/age" I prefer my super's game to be...well. I dont want four colour shiny happy candyland. But at the same time I dont want vampire the depression or warhammer 40k. I guess the best way to describe it is gritty or realistic, their is light in the world, and good people, and good things happen. But so do bad things, and they sometimes happen to good people, People can die, or fall on hard times. for rp/combat. Im a big rp fan. Combat is a spice in the rack. and you dont make a pizza out of pepper. The more rp the better, with maybe the occasional fight to spice things up. It is supers afterall. I'd say 90/10 or 80/20, then again not all sessions have combat, and some have alot more (the carefull investigation of the mob is bound to have less combat that storming the alien citadel) Finally, I prefer gm's who know that the party consists of character's. It's not just "the party" and "The plot" but they pay heed to the individuals too. The best games ive had were character driven. :-D Since you seem to be taking up gm, can we get a point of contact that could be used live. It's alot better for back-n-forth when you dont have to wait days on a forum. You have a skype?yim?aim?
  2. Re: Any voip/skype super games? at all? I'd say skype is the best for voice chat, but ventrilo works in a pinch. You have any ideas?
  3. Well, I cast my lure out once a month, and now is as good a time as any. You see, I cant stand the pace of pure text/pbp games. The speed is simply too slow for me to be immersed or engaged. Additionally I find vocal role play far more socially engaging and energetic. Unfortunately, Voice games are extremely difficult to find. A man called Shawn introduced the fun world of superhero role play. Then he promptly disappeared after the 4th session of what was supposed to be a long running campaign. So, come my fellow cape's with microphones, Let's see if we cant get a game together. While I dont have the skill to gm it, Im hoping enough interest will reach a critical mass and some curious gm will see he has an entire group ready to go.
  4. Re: Voice games/campaign (interest check). I love what voice does for games, speeds it up alot. Also makes it...well, more exciting and social. Jokes go over better when you can hear the laughter bubbling up in the other persons voice, the rest of the group chuckle. Small but important things like that.
  5. I like superhero rpg's. My first introduction to them was about 6 month's ago, the gm was awesome, the game was the best, I found out about a new genre of rpg I enjoyed. and then the campaign colappsed after 4 sessions. I dont like text or PBP. because everything happens so slowly. I personally think Voice is the way to go. While I lack the skill to gm, Im hoping enough people here are interested to get a group together. Come on, I cant be the only man on the internet who likes to use microphones in his online roleplay. :-p
