  1. Re: Weekend Warriors -- Campaign Log

Personally, I would consider it either a Dependence or a Social Limitation.

    - Vassoom

A dependance means it is required.

    It is not.

A social Limitation means that a pre-set number of circumstances / events / items would-could-should trigger a certain reaction,

providing the failure of the die roll.

    Closer, but no cigar.

  2. Re: Predators question

Doh! I failed my 17- KS: Dark Champions Products.

Darn! The names were just too similar to keep straight. It's been a while since I dug out my old 4th Edition stuff.

It's nice to know that we are all human after all.

  3. Re: Secret Worlds: Reboot write-ups

For some reason, the some of the text, especially apostrophes, has transformed.

For instance: "“Yeah… let’s go,†he says and hurries after the rest."

    Wtf, mate?

Temporal displacement around the globe only affects those associated with HERO GAMES forums.

What was initially thought to be loss of conectivity, turns out to be a worldwide plot to play havoc

with a select crew of individuals that see themselves as Gods, Judges, Juries, Executioners and

so many other forms of maelovent rif raf that we cannot begin to list them all here.

If you have information as to the underlying plots, PLEASE post your replies as soon as you can!

This Temporal stuff really plays with your morning Cheerios!

  4. Re: Knightshift Stories -- Campaign Log

Not to be late, or slow, but...

running a weekly campaign brings back fond memmories!

    Session one was superb!

    Session two was even better!

The detail that you bring to life with the journal, only means that the actual events MUST have been spectacular!

  5. Re: When a PC screws up, What next?

With several days to massage the events of this past Faux Pau, I do believe that Sweeper will simply switch his Deep Cover to keep his but out of the Federal Penn.:o

This is of course, depending on the rest of the team. Providing that he lives through the next few raids that they are pulling off.:P

    Now the fun begins.....:hush:

  6. Re: Knightshift Stories -- Campaign Log

Matt, Your campaign sounds like it will be very challenging, to say the least. I look forward to reading the results of the first session!

The Hudson City Sun reads like our "Oklahoma City Gazzette", which lends a lot of credit to your preparation!

I like how you make the players sweat, though, and hopefully they truly appreciate your efforts on their behalf.

YES, We do APPRECIATE what Edsel does for us EVERY session!;) I guess that is why we have been together as a group for as long as we have been! Approaching 20 years I think.

  7. Re: Weekend Warriors -- Campaign Log

    Boy - oh boy - oh boy.:o

This can of Whuup_ss turned out to be more of an embarrassment than anything.

And Yes, I would have not gone through with the interview if I didn't feel as though Edsel and I had established it as canon earlier in the week.:hush:

    C'est la vie!:D

Next session ought to be quite interesting! If I survive it, Jacob will most likely "go visit his aunt in Hawaii" or something like that.

Meenwhile, just as things look great on the personal side, Sweepers's luck kicks in again!:doi:

BTW Edsel, The last session write up was FANATSTIC!

  8. Re: US Military .45 Pistols

Yep' date=' I know the guy....which he would consider a corruption of his [i']perfect[/i] system.

You know that you will forever burn for those blasphemous words!:hush:

You do remember that the other half has relations still here?

You must say at LEAST 10 Hail M's:D

  9. Re: When a PC screws up, What next?

Actually I would have used the term "canon." Since the event has already happened... A cannon is something your enemies might come hunting you with.

With Sweepers luck lately, there just might be one (a cannon that is) coming after him.:o

Man, I'm just full of them lately!:hush:

    Mistakes that is.....

    :smoke:

  10. Re: Clever Prop Idea

For my Weekend Warriors campaign I have just constructed a prop for our next game. It is supposed to be a page from HCVIGILANTE.NET. I created this prop in reaction to the group's bloody solution to their most recent action (see the last log entry).

This Clever idea came back AGAIN last night!:eg:

It adds a special flavor to the session, when you can read about your activities in the "local paper"!:D

    PS: YAY!:celebrate I Finally hit 100 posts:drink:

  11. Re: US Military .45 Pistols

    Same here.

That is an ugly looking gun.

As usual, Cox allows different people different access rates.....I guess that I paid my bill on time this month, it only took about two seconds for it to show up on my screen.:D

And yes, That is an ugly gun.

    :doi:

  12. Re: When a PC screws up, What next?

Perhaps the Journalist may suppress the interview until a later date? Who knows?[/url]

I wish that this could be the case......However, as it was part of the session that we all read the morning paper....I doubt that the GM (Edsel) would be willing to be that lenient. As he would say "...that is cannon..." and cannot be changed.

I should have been more descriptive in my original post, but that sound that you get pulling your head out of your _ss was still ringing in my ears.:o

    :eg:

  13. Re: When a PC screws up, What next?

    What was the screw-up ?

    Can't you just give a one-paragraph explanation ?

In summary, What the kid did was to "grant" a one on one interview with a reporter who Sweeper had saved his folks from some muggers earlier in the campaign. In telling his story, he got hung up on himself, and forgot about the rest of the team. One character plays a very PARANOID gun bunny, who wanted to pack his bags and leave town immediately. Another character while recovering from severe trauma to his head, rejoins the (previously anonymous) group, only to find that they are now "a thing". The third person, who has been working behind the scenes to infiltrate the baddies, (for the last several sessions) and is the newest face in their crowd, just found out that the baddies have been played for dupes by someone. Guess who the finger points to?

Not to mention, that several of the answers, while not being specific, were laying a valid path for the FBI or the Torccones to follow to his own door step.

    :doi:

    OOOOOOPPPPPPPPSSSSSSSSSSSS!

  14. Re: When a PC screws up, What next?

Thank You both, what you said is very reassuring, BUT until the freshness of the incident wears off, its still a wee bit touchy!:(

    B-T-W I have another option....

    I) The PC takes a few sessions off.

Probably not going to happen, but still a response.

  15. Okay, What happens next?

In the Weekend Warriors campaign that I am in, My character - Sweeper, just pulled a real doozy. I won't say that it will stop the campaign, BUT, it will definitely change the course of the campaigns short term future.

I want to know what the rest of "you" out there would do....

For the details of the the gaff, refer to the campaign log of the Weekend Warriors.

When it gets posted - Should be with-in a week or so...

    Would any of you...

    A) Pretend that nothing out of the ordinary happened, and carry on as "normal".

    B) Finish off the character with ritualist "sepuku"(?) and start fresh.

    C) Try to use this as the characters' learing curve; afterall, he is fairly young, and roleplay out of the mess.

    D) Have the character "melt" in to the background and stir as few waves as possible until this all blows over.

    E) Actually have the character go into hiatus for awhile.

    F) Carry on, knowing full well that he now has several new hunted 11<.

    G) Spend the next few sessions preparing another Deep Cover, and just roll with it.

    H) Fill in the blank yourself

I really would like to know.:doi:
