  1. I have a character that uses a staff as a primary method of attack. It is bought as a multi power. the player want the staff to be able to extend from 6" to 6' for storage and consealment purposes. I was thinking of not charging any points for it but then i started to think a little more on the topic. By allowing this it would let him very easily conseal something that would normally be very difficult to conseal. i was thinking of making him by some type of shapeshift outside the multipower that only affects the staff. What do you guys think?
  2. If i bought a multipower with 3 shot autofire advantage to represent a quive full of special arrows, Would i be able to mix the auto fire attack between slots or would all three arrows have to come from the same slot? Example: Arrow one is from the first slot, Arrow two is from the second slot, and the third arrow is from the third slot.
  3. I always have some kind of cheat sheet ready when playing my characters. Charts and lists mainly for to hit calculations and other reference materials. What do you use?
  4. I want to purchase a force field to protect other people (innocent bystanders and team mates mainly). I am use to the 4th edition rules and am now becoming familiar with the 5th edition rules. I envision this to be bought as the following: 12/12 force field, Usable as an attack (+1), Ranged (+1/2) (60 active points) I chose "Usable as an attack" because it would give me more freedom to protect people without their consent. Besides they might even be unconscious at the time they need additional defenses. I understand that "Usable as an attack" could be very deadly and powerful when attached to certain powers, as you mentioned in 5th edition rules. Question 1: Being that this is strictly a defensive power and has no potential to harm anyone, do you think it should have the full (+1) for Usable as an attack? Do you think it would be fair to call it a (+3/4) in this situation? Question 2: Assume I have purchased this power. Some evil super villain is holding a glass cylinder of super deadly nerve agent in his hand and is threading to break it, killing everyone in the room. Let’s assume that the cylinder does not have a cork stopper, hinged lid, or screw off top. The rules under usable as an attack states you can use the power on an inanimate object of human mass or less. Being a tiny glass cylinder it would clearly be less than human mass. Assuming that I could successfully hit this small target with this power, it should add 12/12 to the object’s defenses. The result being, it would be more difficult to break open. Would this be correct? Let’s take it a step further. Assume a team mate generated a force wall of human mass or less. Could I use this power to add to the force wall’s defenses?
  5. If your charactor has his hands on his target, and can't rely on any other senses, is his sense of touch targeting?
  6. I was at a hobby shop and I saw a few packs of hero clix map packs. They really looked high quality. Does anyone know what scale they are? I think they would be just right for hero campains. Does anyone use these maps?
  7. I am going to purchase the 5th edition rule book. I understand that it only comes bound hard cover. My first champion's book was hard cover, you know the big blue 4th edition one. The pages fell out of the binding. Will this happen to my 5th edition book or is it a better binding job? I would like to know if i have to baby my 5th edition book when I get it.
  8. I am purchasing the following: Force Field: 12 pd/12 ed, Usable against others (+1), Ranged (+1/2), Invisible to normal sight (+1/4) I am purchasing this power to use on fellow team mates and hostages at gun point. My question is this: Can I use this force Field on my self? Thus, can a power with Usable against others be used normally as if the UAO advantage were not on it?
