  1. Re: Hero Designer v2 - Helpful or Hurtful Thanks for all the replies. It's been a while since I've tried learning a new system, but the tips are appreciated and very helpful. I'll probably be getting a copy of HDv2 based on Andy's experiences, but that won't be for a while (but it will need to be done before I head out to Origins since I really need to learn things by then). Thanks again...
  2. Re: Generic Star Hero Galactic Map I'm looking forward to a new program from NBOS Software (http://www.nbos.com). They're developing a program called AstroSynthesis that looks like it will do everything I need a star-mapping program to do. http://www.nbos.com/products/astro/astro.htm I haven't heard anything about CC: Cosmographer, but since I already have so much invested in CC, I may have to look into that one, especially if they integrate them.
  3. Re: Hero Designer v2 - Helpful or Hurtful That's what I figured. I'll have to hold off on that one for a little whille till I get my guinea pig group to let me run some test games with the system. Thanks...
  4. Hopefully the title doesn't thrown anyone off -- I'm sure the HDv2 is very helpful for experienced HERO GMs. I'm just starting to get into the HERO system (going to play my first HERO system game at Origins this year). My question is does HDv2 make it easier or harder to learn the rules of the system? At this point I'm planning on picking up the rulebook, Sidekick, FH, and Turakian Age so I can try getting used to the rules. I'm on the fence about HDv2, though. Thoughts? Thanks...
