  1. Thanks all for the replies. Also agree, we will use it as a Haymakers.
  2. Hello Hero System Community. Starting a new High Fantasy/Steampunk campaing tomorrow. Out of the blue, while transfering character from Hero Designer to Roll20, the Ranged Martial Maneuver: Distance Shot appeared in my Roll20 character sheet. Maneuver Phase Pts OCV DCV Rng Damage/Effect Distance Shot 1+1 5 +0 -2 +6 Strike; +1 Segment We do not understand (GM and me) the Phase 1+1 for this Ranged Martial Maneuvers (MA p. 6). This maneuver take 1 phase + 1 phase? 1 phase +1 segment? Its no big deal, I just never saw this duration description Phase 1+1. Is it like an haymaker? Many thanks to anyone who can show me the light on this. EF
  3. In Volume 1, p153 (the mental powers overview section), under Limitations for Mental Powers, There is the entry "Based on Con", and in the description of the limitation, the target's Phys or Energ Def applies (chosen when power bought), not Mental Def. At the end of the description, a way to built a "mind drug" is given, with AVAD (defense is PD). Must AVAD be included in order to get a PD (or ED if its what applies to the power when bought with Based on Con) defense at all? otherwise there is no defense (like laking mental defense)? mmm, I think I answered my own question, but I send it anyways to be sure. Thanks!!!
  4. Hi, if this question should be somewhere else, please move it. And I will try to be as clear as possible. This questions all come from me getting back into the Hero System after a long break. Got back in school, engineering, Hero System.. I am reading the rules, I'm at the Power chapter of volume 1. And using Hero Disigner (which helps me get back into the construction mecanics.). So preparing a very simple game that contains some zombies. There is definitively something I do not understand that is made right and ok in the books, cause all the undeads from THE BOOKS OF THE UNDEAD, Volume 2: ZOMBIES, have the same sort of undead racial package. So as example, I will use the Zombie NPC, page 296 of HSB6 (same zombie as BotU-V2-Zombies, p4). Will try to be as clear as possible. My questions are all about cost calculation. Zombie Characteristics section Val Char Cost Notes ... 4 PD 9 Total: 4 PD (4 rPD) 2 ED 3 Total: 2 ED (2 rED) ... Question: How is the cost calcutaled here for PD and ED, and does (X rPD or rED) adds or is it to say the defense is resistant? 4PD (2CP), +4PD resistant protection (6CP)? So I don't undestand the cost of 9(pd) and 3(ed) respectively. Power Section Cost Powers END ... 4 Undead Body: +2 PD 0 Only Protects Against Slashing Or Piercing Attacks (-½) 3 Undead Body: +2 PD 0 Only Protects Against Piercing Attacks (-1) 15 Undead Body: Resistant (+½) for 8 PD/2 ED) 0 ... Question: Again I don't get the cost calculations. Undertands the cost of 4, 3, and 15. Why is the cost of the original power (ie PD or ED) not deducted to signify only the cost of the Naked Advantage? Naked advantages normally use END to use? I see it as if paying more than needed to for the Resistant(+1/2) for 8PD/2ED. What do I not get Thanks, and have a nice day.
