  1. Re: Great moments in RPG history That was a beautiful sight. The players acted with great honour and nobility. It' the sort of scene you see in a massive annual or the final issue cliffhanger that leaves the readers squirming for more. It's the sort of scene I'd pray to either witness or be a part off. I've a couple of small ones here. Gear; a techno-gadget hero known for thinking his way out of any and every situation was toe to toe with Spark, an electric/magnetic foe. After an energized stun disc was deflected by a forcefield, Spark began to mock the Famous gear. Gear calmly walked up to him and pulled out a slighlty different disc in one hand and three stun gass pellets in another. " You see this? Ceramic Lamprey Disc. is produces an occilating(sp) magnetic field strong enough to fasten to nearly and surface as well as ripple and distort any magnetic field. Night-night." He then placed the disc to the field, as we all sat there stunned, the field opened a fist sized portal. Gear tossed in the pellets after cracking them in his fist in order to activate them. He calmly walked away from combat and we watched as Spark dropped, knocked out by the gas. I played FistFire((1st game and I actually liked the name of that peon extra in the champion book mini comic)) a martial artist who projected a multitude of energy blasts but only during an impact with his fists. We were in a massive battle sequence with a villian team that would have stared down the JLA, I was 4 rounds into a battle with a powerarmoured samurai and was unable to deal significant damage with my stun or armour piercing attacks. I was very unwilling to make use of a killing attack that would have cracked even his armour because it would be completely against the ethics of the character. After a leg sweep that dropped the samurai to his knees, I stood there.Barely. As I now had an obviously broken leg. The Samurai looked up and even in the full armour i knew he was smiling. I took a second to settle myself and in a voice that sounded as wiery as possible I said, "Please, if you have any will to live stay down and surrender? I am tired, broken and sore. If this fight were to continue I'd be forced to use this against you." At that I dropped to one knee, as my left hand came down to brace the fall I released my full kill attack. The floor burnt away in a matter of seconds leaving a 5 foot deep, cylindrical hole in the floor." For the love of god man please surrender?" He did. Thank god, I couldn't have lasted another round.
  2. Re: zodiac gang tried both and couldn't open either.........thanks both of ya. I'm afraid I'll have to take the long route and buy a copy.
  3. Several years ago, when I started gaming, our Gm ran the Zodiac gang module. That had to be a near perfect game as it still lingers in my head when I think gaming. i'm running a game now and would love to run my players through the same but the details are ammiss. such as the powers and so forth of the Gang. Would anyone know of where I could get a copy of the old module? if so please let me know? thanks
