  1. That question just popped up in my mind, and I ran to my HERO book to find out the answer (awakening everybody in the house, but I'm getting off-topic on my own topic). And it wasn't there : probably one of those Up To The Game Master thingies (UTTGM), I figured. So : considering that corrrectly wielding a weapon requires a skill (WF, to name it), would you consider that wearing armor need a skill ? If so, what kind of penalties (DEX, OCV, you name 'em) would occur ? And how about shields ?
  2. Re: Creating a weapon ? Okay, thanks for the replies ! I have to agree that findings shadows isn't really a "limitation", so I'll put it as a 0 limitation. Niark niark, smarty pants. But I've also decided it's a very volatile weapon : no RKA and it will instantly disappear if dropped or it somehow leaves his hand. So, just to check my math,we have: HKA 1d6 (15 pts) Advantages: none (yet) Active cost : 15 pts Limitations : Limited Power (only created from shadows) -0 Limited power (disappears if dropped) -1/4 Real cost : 15 / (1 + 1/4) = 12 pts. Any more comments ?
  3. Hi ! I recently bought Hero 5th REV and I must say I'm more than impressed. Great system. Excellent work. Now, this player of mine as some weeeeeeeeeeird ideas, on of 'em is to get his chatacter a power that allows his character to create a dagger out of shadows. IF my limited mind got it well, it would be a HKA with the Obvious Focus limitation. Still, that does not address the "created out of thin air" problem nor the fact that shadows must be available. I thought about using the Summon power for that but... I'm not too sure. ... help ?
