  1. Re: Can someone explain.... Did you make all those slots ultra? As for the costs, well, Math never was my strong suit. I did use the powers cost spreadsheet though to figure up the base, so any point cost mishaps were on my end. Question, I looked, but couldn't find the rounding rules, do we round up or down? That may have been were my errors came from. Prof
  2. Re: Can someone explain.... Well, I did take half end on the running. And putting the desolid in a MP may be a really good idea. And the characters speed is 8. I ran that through the MPH spreadsheet located elsewhere on this site, that is how I came up with the numebrs I got. Prof
  3. Re: Can someone explain.... Judging by the spreadsheet, I will get a combat speed of 65.63 mph. I will get a non combat speed of 525.05 mph. Should be plenty fast enough for a 350 point campaign. Prof
  4. Re: Can someone explain.... Ok, here is the powers framework I am using. 45 point Multi Power (Speed Attacks) 8u Wind Blast -- Physical Def (EB), Gestures (-1/4) limitation,Area Effect (+1) Any Area,Does Knockback (+1/4) 7u Vibrating Strike -- Physical HKA, Armor Piercing (+1/2) 4u Flurry of Blows -- Hand to Hand Attack (-1/2),End 1/2 cost (+1/4) 25 EC (Super Speed Movement) 36 Superspeed Running -- 22' Flight,Surface Only (-1/4),Useable as running (+1/4),End 1/2 cost (+1/4),Non combat Movement x8 15 Vibrate through objects -- Desolidification, End 1/2 cost (+1/4),Must be able to Run (-1/4) How does that look for simulating superspeed powers? Prof
  5. Re: Can someone explain.... I just noticed something in your 2nd choice. There is no No Turn Mode listed in it. Is that intentional? Also, I'm guessing those constructs come with experience, but, they look way more elegant as far as defining it than anything I have written down. Prof
  6. Re: Can someone explain.... The 25 point less version doesn't have a fast running listed in it, just wall running and move through walls, is that intentional on your part? Are you planning on using the wall running and renaming it fast running? I think you meant to do the latter, but I gave up trying to read peoples minds a long time ago. Prof
  7. Re: Can someone explain.... In the multipower, you linked that to fast running, I'm guessing. And by looking at your examples, it appears its 2 points more do it in a multipower. Is that right? Or am I missing the big picture in the examples? Prof
  8. Re: Can someone explain.... Well, I do plan to incorporate the walking through walls trick that the Flashes do. I already cleared it with the GM. I was planning on making it part or the speed movement EC I was making. Which is why I was going to put it all in the EC. Course, the stipulation to the desolidifaction is that I have to be moving. So, where I made completey immobile I couldn't use it. Although, if that is dirty pool then I want to know. Prof
  9. Re: Can someone explain.... I see what you mean by thinking it through to much. Perhaps that has been my block, I'm going to go with something using the multipower, swimming, clinging, running deal. Although, I'll probably see if I can get it put in a EC as its all superspeed movement. And then, I'll just buy up the NCM to achieve large distance movement. That sounds more reasonable. Prof
  10. Re: Can someone explain.... The rational behind Flash running up a wall was that he was moving so fast his momentum was carrying him up it. So to do clinging wouldn't we have to add a disadvantage must make a full move first, so you build the velocity, and maybe a advantage that says does not cause speed decrease? And maybe another disadvantage that says can not change direction when using to move up a wall? Prof
  11. Re: Can someone explain.... I must not be a one of those munchkin players, I never would have thought of running in a 2 hex circle to gain speed. I just assumed moving about 3 hexes to get up to full speed and jumping. Prof
  12. Re: Can someone explain.... My math was wrong, 11'' of jumping?
  13. Re: Can someone explain.... So if I bought +22'' running, say, in a EC speed movement, I would have 14'' of jumping? Prof
  14. Re: Can someone explain.... Ok, so the next question, (man you guys opened a can of worms, but I'm liking the answers), is, Would 5' of gliding allow for a superspeed long jump? Prof
  15. Re: Can someone explain.... Also, I would glady accept your ruling on the matter were you my GM. Even the dropping like a stone part.
  16. Re: Can someone explain.... I think I understand what your saying, the flight should be used, say, for cross country transport, but, in a building you would want the running, maybe, with a base non combat movement that is lower than the flights. Right? Prof
  17. Re: Can someone explain.... So, if I'm reading this right, On surfaces only is fine, you can not hover at all. No problem there. Would still be able to run up the side of a building. Good. And I would still need to buy running 22'' in order to cover vast distances, or would the flight be able to cover the vast distances also, and be able to do so at such a hgih speed? Or would the flying be a hero id thing and then running be a, I'm out on the street and need to move that little girl out of the way of that bus seems kind of off. Prof
  18. Re: Can someone explain.... So the useable as running is a bad thing then? Prof
  19. Re: Can someone explain....
  20. Re: Can someone explain.... Ok, since that question has been answered, I have one more. I'm building a character(I roped a friend at worked who used to play champions into running a game...Mwahahaha) and as with any super hero rpg I play, my first character has to be a speedster. I plan on taking 22'' of flying (-1/4 Must be touching some surface) for the superspeed running(up walls etc). Would I still need to take 22'' of running as well? And if so, what is the advantage to such a thing? They both yield the same movement speed if the hero movement spreadsheet is correct. Prof
  21. Non-combat Movement? Is it automatic? Do I have to pay for the first x2 of it? Thanks in advance. And if this should be in the rules forum, let me know, I only asked here because I read the multipower thread here. Prof

    Multipower

Re: Multipower I see. That does make sense. And question answered. PRof

    Multipower

Re: Multipower - KISS I realize that is not a hard and fast rule, but what is the disadvantage in doing it the other way around? Defensive Powers and Movement powers in a MP and Offensive Powers in a EC. Prof
