  1. Reasoning from effect you could go with Barrier/Force Wall instead.
  2. Time for an update. As it stands three character's have been accepted into the campaign: The Sheriff, Scarlet, and Firefrost. I am still looking out for another character. Please submit characters via email to mrjeremiahpointer@yahoo.com as I am having some small difficulty downloading from HC.
  3. Just to explain a few things, here we go. Why the point totals? Don't they look like 6E point totals, and yet you are running a 5E game you ask. Well, to answer that I have to look at the fact I not only want powerful heroes running around to face the challenges of the world, which is in my estimation a high powered setting. Next, complications/disadvantages must reflect the core of the character and not just scramble for ways to come up to a large chunk of points. As such even though I only want to see 75 points per character, I will scrutinize each and implement them as required. Next, keep up the submissions. Thanks, Hawk
  4. Alright TQM, lots of questions so I'll get to it. First, I would like to see a background rather than a sheet. Points are fungible. I prefer DCs metagene to mutants. As to Magic and the game, it will depend on what character's I am supplied. I would hate to have to assign 0 points to a disad because the chances of having a magical encounter were low. In other words, Magic is a potent force as far as I have seen in the DCU, but Nightwing doesn't often run afoul of mystic villians. Hunteds: I would have to see the write up. What is the reason Waller hates you, or are you on The Batman's Do Not Call List. Hawk
  5. As much as you want really. I am just using the setting, and occasionally one of the NPCs from the comics, like Amanda Waller, Steve Trevor from Argus. I am not going to jump all over you if you don't for instance know about the outcome of the latest story arc. As to PCs. I would prefer 5th Edition PCs, but I can reverse engineer a 6E quite easily. Hawk
  6. Having more than a bit of free time on my hands, I have decided to try my hand at running a PBEM game hosted by HERO central. The game will be a Champions game set in the current DC universe. I only plan on having 4 players willing to post at least once a day and likely more. Submissions can be made via email to me or posted on this thread. I expect a full background write up with enough juicy details to make me want to work hard on your character's story. In short, make me want to pick you. ************************************************************************************ The Outsiders Fifth Edition, 500 points (425 base + 75 disads) Starting Guidelines: Characteristics 10-75 Speed 4-10 OCV/DCV 7-12 DC 8-15 Active Points cap: None (see note 1) Noncombat Skill points 25+ Note 1: This game will allow powers with AP constructions above 75 (which is the campaign soft cap) if the construction of the power and character conception require it; for example a PC with multiform. Note 2: No Limitations *unless* the power REQUIRES it (such as -1/2 limitations for Regeneration, Gate, and HtH attacks). (See GM for VPP) This is a big one for me. I have seen all the munchkin tricks and implemented more than a few of them in my time. This campaign is for “straight builds” only. Note 3: Power Frameworks - Six slots max for starting, per framework. (Including VPP) Note 4: Your character must be able to do solo stories including moving around in public, taking charge of civilians in stressful situations (fires, evil rampages) and plays well with others. Note 5: Although this campaign is set in the DC absolute canon will not be followed. There is simply just too much information in the source material to ensure that. Instead, the source material will provide flavoring and support for the campaign. Note 6: Martial Arts are for Martial Artist characters *not* for a character wanting to flesh out combat capability. I will carefully weigh any character taking martial arts, and might suggest purchasing CSL instead. Campaign Description: This is a Standard Superhero campaign set in the “New 52 DC Universe.” The Player Characters are superheroes in a modern day world populated by superhumans. They will fight against supervillains, villainous agencies, criminals of various types, aliens, horrors and more. Importance of the Player Characters: The Player Characters are Superheroes. They are the most important characters in the story and may become the most important to the planet. All PCs belong to the super team "The Outsiders," operating outside the purview of the Justice League(s) and ARGUS. Super powered beings and pockets of advanced technology have made the campaign world less-stable, but the superheroes tend to keep harmony in balance. World Description: The New 52 Universe is a four-color comic book world, full of larger than life characters. Technology is more advanced than the real world in certain areas; magic, aliens and creatures of legend are all real.
