I just started running my new Shadow World - Fantasy Hero campaign and I was wondering if there was a way (also using HDv3 if possible) of having more skill quanta.
Right now skills seem to jump from 1 point familiarity skills (8-) to 3 point skills (often 12- or more). I really like the Hero system, but I miss the GURPS 1/2, 1, 2, 4 type schema sometimes. I guess I find the 1,3,5, etc... system a little too abrupt. There's a lot of times when I'd really like to buy 2 point skills in between what is currently allowed.
Any suggestions? Does the Ultimate Skill provide any assistance?
