  1. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Jason Smith on ESPN Radio (1280 AM out of New Orleans)
  2. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? At first I drew a blank on this one, but within about 15 seconds I remembered which album it's from. Listening to it now
  3. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Houston Astros postgame show on KTRH 740, after they fall to Colorado 8-7.
  4. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Jethro Tull -- Thick as a Brick (Side 2) [or Track 2, if you prefer]
  5. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Jethro Tull -- Thick As A Brick (side 2) [or track 2, if you prefer]
  6. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Old and Wise --- Alan Parsons Project
  7. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? "Across the Border" -- ELO
  8. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? "Carn Evil 9 (Second Impression)" -- Emerson, Lake and Palmer
  9. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Which version? I actually liked the one off Chicago 18 more than the original version.
  10. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? I don't have many audio books, but I do have four Rumpole stories on tape read by Leo McKern. Can I count Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds as a audiobook?
  11. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? "Looking For Clues" -- Robert Palmer Pardon me while I make a rude gesture to the universe for Palmer being dead and winners from American Idol still being alive ...
  12. Re: What Fantasy/Sci-Fi book have you just finished? Please rate it... _Gateways_ by F. Paul Wilson, part of the Repairman Jack series. The only problem was that, due to having to read books in the series I can find, I read the next book in the series (Crisscross) before this one, which did spoil the metaplot a bit. However, even with that, I enjoyed the book greatly. The self-contained plot is good and the clues for the metaplot are nice (even having read Crisscross first, there are some things in Gateways that aren't referenced in Crisscross). If you don't like Repairman jack, you probably haven't (and never will have) gotten this far into the series; if you've never read a Repairman Jack novel, start with The Tomb. Of the five RJ novels I've read so far, only Legacies seemed lacking a bit (but then it was more scifi than horror).
  13. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? "Fat Man" -- Jethro Tull (as one of the bonus tracks on the 25th anniversary release of _Aqualung_)
  14. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? "Wind Up" - Jethro Tull
  15. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? Watched Hellboy: Sword of Storms last night. Overall, I liked it, but the animation style for the humans was pretty bad. And Liz looked like she was 14.
  16. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? Last movie at the theatre: Apocalypto, which is a nice action/adventure movie. Unfortunately, the projector malfunction so I had to wait 30 minutes to see the last 20 minutes. Last rented DVDs: Season two of Reno 911! Freaking hilarious. Last bought DVDs: Big Fish: Best Tim Burton movie, mainly because it's not a typical Tom Burton movie. Blackadder II: Long time since I had seen these. Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter: Yes, I know I'll go to Hell for watching this one, but cheesy fun. Always nice to end a Jesus movie on a song called "Everybody Gets laid Tonight".
  17. Re: What Fantasy/Sci-Fi book have you just finished? Please rate it... Midnight Mass by F. Paul Wilson Vampires are taking over the world and four humans (a rabbi, a disgraced priest, his lesbian athesit niece and an insane commando (ex)nun) try to stop them. The characters are a bit sterotyped but the book reads well, has some nice addtions to vampire mythology and, in the end, lots of vampires are destroyed. 3.5 out of 5
  18. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? "The Great Gates of Kiev" -- Emerson, Lake & Palmer ("There's no end to my life/No beginning to my death/Death is life")
  19. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Wish I had bought it 28 years ago, instead of just the single "Forever Autumn". Abaddon's Bolero -- ELP
  20. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Ah, okay. Kinda wished the remastered, rereleased CD would have *not* had the Tarkus suite as one massive track. The Sheriff -- ELP (Recently got ELP's Trilogy and Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds, so they will be heavily in the rotation for the next several days)
  21. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Fugue -- Emerson, Lake, & Palmer (Trilogy)
  22. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? "The Artilleryman and the Fighting Machine" -- Jeff Wayne's _War of the Worlds_
  23. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? ESPN Radio. Last song I listened to before coming to this thread: "Fanfare for the Common Man", Emerson, Lake and Palmer.
