  1. Rapid

With the Rapid modifier you assimilate knowlwdge faster, Imagine you had to catalog every living thing in 3 square miles of forest, down to the bugs. Let's say that would take a normal person a year (being generous for examples sake) to catalog such information. With rapid it could be done in .1,.01,.001 times faster. Now imagine every living thing in the Universe! Must have rapid to know everything at once...

  3. Waterfront

One of the ecological type heroes on your team (you don't have one of those?) One of the Aquatic based members of our team, no? Shore Patrol DNPC? you decide... A rise in certain bacteria is rising at an alamingly high rate, and Stingray has been spotted in the area...However, fathoms below the surface, VIPER is building/rebuilding an underwater base and the bi-products of the construction is causing the disruption in the undersea ecosystem. Will the heroes discover yet another base? Or will they be under the false impression that Stingray is involved? Or will they chase down even more *red herrings*, before, or even if, they discover the base

  4. Ratman and Mouse

For the dysfuntional couple/superhero married, may I suggest: Someone with control over urban swarms, (rats/cockroaches/pidgeons)...and his wife (whom he either experimented on, or is a secret mutant that he created his powers using...) with the ability to shrink and gain some redentia-like powers/ and or super abilities (super stealth, tunneling, smell...)

Beserk fury a talent? Deadly Blow? Fearless? Champions terms, they are not..

    Can you explain please?

Well, if he was a FEP I Figured he'd be set with that already..

Stretching to produce the effect of an arc of power is a nice effect. For more fun you could add a damage shield to the stretch so that anyone in the way gets shocked. Don't forget a few points in limitations potentially to reflect the brown out or black out he may cause a neighborhood while he's fighting and absorbing power from the grid!

heh, also... too much and he'll cause the grid breakers to flip and there goes his power source...

Now, THAT Has Drama to it...Kudos to you sir!

(I will be using that Damage shield idea!

  7. So, the effect you are looking at is. to pull electricity from power lines/transformers, through the air to be absorbed by you,...hmmmm

well, as has been said, you could by as an x reserve that only works near power lines, but that does lack drama...

"..Powers, fading,....need.....more....power..Wait! that electrical socket! If I could just.....reach it...."

I have had 2 characters that needed the juice for different reasons, and wanted to reflect juice absorbed=power available, I.E., if you only had an outlet to pull from, FRED sez 1D6 K Grounded, and up to 5D6 from high tension lines.

So what you want to do is to create an arc of electricity from the source to your body (For Absobtion dice)

Strtching, only to create Arc -1 1/2, (like sticking your finger in a socket)

And of course you would have appropriate def and absorbtion dice (maybe bought only to absorb juice)

    How's that?

Try reading some Fred Hembeck, He has no trouble destroying characters. My favorite was the Human Torch vs Martian Manhunter

Enemies 2005? how about Cat and CLockwork from Great Britain? (also mentioned in Universe)

  10. Characters

    Well, From around the world:

    Fortuna italian Luck manipulator-cards..

Vibora bay - Black Mask, Juryrig, Brother Thuder and Sister Rain, Redsnake, Dr. Ka,;Robert Caliburn

    Australia 'Walkabout'

    Canada Ravenspeaker, Celestar, Forceknight

France Seine (left bank , right bank Chevalier, Autour, Bastille

    Germany Mondfeuer,

Great Britain Albion, Hyperion, Blazon, Yeoman, Repulse, Swift Swallow, Shade, Drune, Rhiannon, Taliesin

All of thee names are dropped in the Univers Publication. Whoa wants a crack at any of them? Or are we to assume that the majority of them are built on 350 points? (Hyperion is mentioned as fighting Firewing to a stalemate -no winner-AND they say ALbion is even more powerful!!

  11. Anyway...

Along the lines of tactics, what would need to be known is what do the Supers DO. How long have they been around to gauge their tactics against yours? If these things were known, it would be easier to develop plans around that. For Example: Who says you are gonna find Dr D standing around...ALONE.?!?

Doesn't he have like, ARMIES, and Super henchmen? Let's talk about how to deal with a squadron of Black Talons and destroyer bots First..(Like he just stands there waiting to be beaten) This man has PLANS! A General doesn't fight a war alone.

  13. In the comics, when one wishes entry, one can blast away and voila',: human-sized hole. But they (Supers), don't always do it that way. sometimes you see a pencil thin laser or adamantium claw tracing the outline of a door, THEN gain entry. How would this be simulated in the game as far as time concerns and amount of damage?

And another thing...according to the rules, if you shot straight down at some semi dense earth (DEF 5 BOD 5) delivering 20 damage over the DEF, you not only made a hole in the earth that is man-sized,(and 1 hex deep) but the area has been DOUBLED 20 TIMES (Like a free Area effect). This is a large, shallow hole. I would expect something more crater-shaped. (Like some tunnelling thrown in as side effect, or explosion)

    Anyone care to tackle this?

  14. Awesome

I was way into the series for the great plot as well as looking at Jessica Alba. They are accelerated, I.E. , Genetically enhanced, so, super powered. Definitely telescopic for the X-5's (Max, Zak) maybe enhanced, targeting and discr. smell for that Dog -man hybrid from the 2nd season.

I wouldn't mind taking a shot at doing an X-5 template, but they all had specialized skill-sets. AND they were hinting that Max had some genetic "patch" the manticore folks needed. (Did you ever see that funky snake ritual?)
