  1. Re: A multisensorical virtual reality Another thought is how much control does someone who knows how to program their own software have. On the internet for example i can code my own web page depending on what language and standards i follow it can do some intresting things or it might not render well in some browsers. Or is your cyberspace more like a MMORPG where it is completly standardized and run by a company and the players may only be able to program small macros to make things more efficient while they are in there. Also is there one cyberspace or are their underground networks? Could a player with enough computer knowledge hack and code his own powers reaching beyond the set limit?
  2. Re: Airlocks are for losers I'm not really versed in the specifics of this. This is just my general assumption from the little knowledge i have. -You would need something to counteract the bends (pressure change sickness) - You would need to regulate your own temperature, i believe if you are in a shadow of a planet it's cold if you are in the open you are getting all the heat/UV energy from the sun that our atmosphere helps cut down, which would make you very hot. - some way to keep the air in your longs from being expelled to the vacuum of space or just a way to exist without needing oxygen for a time. As for the radiation i'm not exactly sure, alot of that i believe depends on your proximity to a star and how much radiation that star is pushing out. unless you want to spend time looking it up i'd just deal with the UV. I don't have star hero just the core hero book (although i ordered the star hero bundle so i should be getting my books soon *is excited*) but i'd probably just let my player do what Thia has suggested. I couldn't see paying more points than that being worth space walking without a suit.

    Doctor Who

Re: Doctor Who Hey all sorry for checking out for so long i went away for a bit. thanks for the resources. I have experience running pretty combat low campaigns. As well as things like the bane warrens which i found to be very hack and slash. I defiantly prefer the acting and role playing part of role playing to the combat. This is one of the reasons i think i'd love running a doctor who game because the adventures would be alot more focused on solving issues then gunning down large numbers of alien baddies. That said the players can mold the game as well and if they find they think the best solution is to board a Sontaran vessel and kill the crew rather then going about some other more clever way well the option is accessible. I have just recently listened to the first faction paradox radio show (eleven day empire) and i have to say i thought it was absolutely amazing. The members of faction paradox have some interesting abilities which i think would interest players more into being something fantastical rather then an ordinary human. That said there are some aliens with pretty interesting abilities throughout doctor who. All this being said i am thinking of really leaving it up to my players. If they want to have a more aggressive campaign i'll go with something more along the lines of Faction Paradox. As for "i'll go back in time and patch this mistake up" fixes. I think as a GM this can be solved the same way as the show does. Half the episodes no one can get to the tardis when there is trouble. And if after they've resolved the issue they try go back and resolve it even better. Well i could either make things go dreadfully wrong somehow (if it doesn't seem forced) or resort to the odd wraith looking things that appeared in the new doctor who series.

    Doctor Who

Hey all, i'm fairly new to hero. (I own the core book and have read it, haven't played yet though) I have been thinking i would like to run a Doctor who game. I figured someone would have some ideas put up somewhere however I can't seem to turn up anything via google. I don't think it would be terribly hard to come up with stats for a Dalek or other such things, and most players would be human in a game (although I was thinking that having them be time lords --before the time war obviously-- might also be a viable option. Has anyone developed any resources? Would the starhero book be useful, or would i essentially need to create so much campain specific stuff that i wouldn't end up using much from the book? (I have some money coming to me from Paizo *cries and waves bye bye to dragon magazine* and was thinking of getting a hero product anyway) Thanks for any replies!
