I've done a lot of searching and I just can't find any builds for Dr Strange or Fate or other "magic" users in Marvel/DC. I wanted to see some example builds on how to build someone who uses magic. Could someone post links if there are any.

Re: Force Wall I don't want to powergame I just wanted to in the event of a large crises when it's known ahead of time I could protect those I'm near. Like if plane will crash I could protect a building full of people or a flood etc. My guy is all about his elemental control Life Mastery and I thought it be cool to use that mastery to protect others. Maybe use the succor but put a limit on it. I did want some sort of limit cause 1200pd is insane, cool but insane.

Re: Force Wall Thank you for all the good ideas. I had no idea that stuff would cost this much. I only have 13 xp points lol. Maybe I should buy off a disadvantage or bump up my forcefield or my heal?

Re: Force Wall Mainly because I have no clue what Partially Limited Power. What I wanted but won't work is to put up a force wall and have cumulative on it. Sorry I wasn't more clear.

Re: Force Wall Thats a good idea but not what I was looking for. I just thought of something that would be close to what I was looking for but not sure if it's within the rules. Can you link a aid to a force wall and you can keep concentrating on the aid till it gets up in strength?

Okay, I've been playing HERO for 3 weeks now and I'm loving it. I have saved up 13 xp and was thinking of using it now. Is it possible to build a Force Wall that gets stronger the longer you concentrate on it? I was thinking because my guy is good with defense that it would be a neat concept. To be able to know that there is a giant tidal wave coming and I could build up a force wall ahead of time to block it.

Re: Multiform/Summon Question Ahh okay that makes sense then. Sorry I couldn't figure it out.

I've been seeing builds for Colossus and Mystique and they don't use a multiform. Why is that? Also If you were playing a guy who summoned a weapon would you use the summon power or something else?

Re: Practice I meant for the gem to be taken away..it's kind of like lanterns ring in that its apparent where the power comes from when it flashes and energy comes from it. I do see your point tho and it's not nitpicking lol just helping me learn the system.

Thank you everyone who helped me make my first character with my first post (New to HERO/Discussion Board) I will be using him in my first game this upcoming Sunday. I decided for fun to make a 2nd guy now that I think I know the rules better. It's just for practice so let me know where I messed up. He is a Dwarf from a mythical realm that through magical means has ended up in our plane. Bringing with him A brown stone that is embedded on top his right hand that gives him powers to control and move on earth.

Re: New to HERO/Discussion Board Ty..I like the end result. I'll be able to build up his stats with xp. He said we will progress pretty fast and gain 100 xp very early then drop back down to normal xp speed for HERO. I'll use that xp to get up his elemental control and continue to raise his stats from time to time str-body.

I want him to be support and handle it on his own if he has to. That make sense? Not sure if you can make someone like that. Oh I forgot to mention that he said his only real limit is that powers are 60 active points.

Re: New to HERO/Discussion Board Sorry everyone I was out for lunch. I read all the posts and I just want to say that no one's comments have been offensive or to harsh to me. This is my first character with a brand new system so it's only natural I'll make mistakes to be fixed by all of you lol. So in turn I want to say thank you for ALL the posts so far. I wanted the instant change to be there so that I could protect my secret ID but didn't know I was using it wrong. Here is how I was trying to do it. When he is in "HERO mode" he looks like the Silver Surfer but when he starts using his powers like his force field, flight, and his elemental blast then the skin takes a glowing affect. Not a huge glow but more like a halo of energy. So how do I do that or is it just that is flavor and I just say that happens? If thats the case then all right lol less work for me to figure it out. Also, since I don't have any Super stats is that a disadvantage? The Normal Stats thing? Thanks for helping fix my character everyone. To be honest I didn't realize I was munching the guy at all just trying to be to... So if you could make his different what would you do? Just lessen his powers and raise his stats? I could knock off the Elemental blast and raise his physicals or something. Last question. The healing. Can I use it more than once on someone if it's not regeneration now? When I was reading it was saying you can only heal someone once....well it didn't say that but made it sound like that.
