    I have been running around with my entire stock of components - I had no idea that I could be storing them in the bank and still accessing them. :(

    I have a belkin n52 keypad - works like a charm. I have found the game pretty easy to pick up - and for the last four days no crashes either. Sorry to hear that you don't like it, I for one have been having a blast. It's been a long time I got sucked in like this.

    I just wish the civilians who give missions wouldn't get captured after crossing half the city/zone to find me and warn me about something. Seems like everyone of these people warns me about a group of ne'er-do-wells who they just saw jump down a manhole/entered a building on the other side of town.

    I'd like to see something that takes us to a moonbase or into a large space station. It would also be fun to see Hudson or Vibora as adventure stops or a lost land (is Monster Island going to be that?)

    So your saying that if I have a Force Power build that high end and ego will improve my force power attacks?

     

    Super EGO: Increases Critical Severity and the ability to break free from intangible holds.

     

    Super END: Increases Maximum Energy and Energy gained from Energy Building attacks.

     

    That really does not make sense to me based on the stat descriptions. I can see how high endurance will help a build with energy attacks but other than that I don't see how they help. I would think improving REC over EGO would benefit me more.

  6. Anyone have a good feel for the impact of the different stats in the games?

     

    It's easy to figure out why I should build Constitution, Endurance and Recovery.

     

    Why should I worry about building up my Presence?

     

    How much benefit do I have building my intelligence over the more important stats (at least how I perceive them to be important.)

     

    etc.

     

    I just can't find an explanation of any of these.

  7. Are you using one of the package deals (Mighty, Martial Artist, Inhuman...) or are you creating custom builds for your heroes?

     

    What are your favorite builds?

     

    So far I have a Mighty, Power Armor, Darkness, Custom (Gadgeteering, Power Armor Primary, Claws secondary), Custom (Inhuman, Electrical Primary, Claws secondary)

     

    I have had the most fun with the Mighty Build so far - I chose leaping as travel power - something about the leaping and the beatdown that brings me great pleasure - lol.

    ATI dual X1900 (512MB) Crossfire edition cards

    3gb ram

    A nice motherboard hd setup in raid config

     

    it's running Champions nicely - better in the last couple of days so i think friday patch must have improved things

  9. I am relatively new to the game and reading through the rules as I create some sample characters.

     

    Are the optional rules for hit location widely used?

     

    I have the Gadgets and Gears supplement and I noticed that a helmet had the following limitation: Activation Roll 8- (only

    protects Hit Locations 3-5; -2). I didn't see anything like this called out in the 6E rules.

    That is what I was thinking - that the GM would decide when it would work. Who it works on could be based on the moral and ethical nature of the persons actions. A case that it would not work with is the Robin Hood type character who feels empowered to break the law for the greater good. Another case that it might not work on is the person who is forced to steal from the bank he works for because the real criminal is holding his family hostage. Ghost Riders "Penance Stare" and some of the apparent powers of the Spectre are examples that manifest only on the criminal or "guilty" person.

     

    I wanted the limitation not to make the power cheaper but to define the mystical nature of the power. I am contemplating removing the limitation - it might be too complicated or misconstrued as abuse and that was not my intent.

     

    Also' date=' if this is a Superhero game (or really any setting with a strong moral compass) than you will most likely only be using the power on "criminals" anyway. I mean, you're a good guy, going after bad guys, 99% of whom have done something illegal and thus are criminals. Is this really [i']that[/i] limiting? Then again, you're only asking for -1/2, so I guess it depends on your GM and the setting...
