    Think of it as a free commission from me, but it has to be of the character you posted. I am easy if you want to adjust the costume a little, or if you want a total redesign.... :)

    Since coming to these forums, I've received a very warm welcome from everyone. The commission requests, the nice comments on pictures, and reputation received has not gone unappreciated by me...

     

    To reward all of you who have posted in my Drawing thread in the past, given me rep, and commissions, I am offering a contest, where YOU will be able to decide who will receive a FREE drawing from myself of their Hero Games Character or Villain.

     

    This contest is not limited to Champions. If you want to submit for Star Hero, Pulp Hero, or any other Hero Games Campaign Supplement, feel free. But it has to be HERO GAMES based...

     

    Contest Submission Guidelines and Rules:

    1. Post a full character sheet with Characteristics, Powers, Skills, Perks, etc... into this thread with a Full Character Background, and detailed summary of the Character's costume.
    2. You may only submit ONE entry. I will only accept the first entry you submit. Please do not submit more than one entry.

    I will keep the submissions open for 2 weeks, with a minimum of 20 submissions have been reached, anything over that acceptable.

     

    Once this happens you will see a bunch of polls created with the characters submitted. Anyone may vote for their favorite character in each poll. You may even vote for your own submission.

     

    The top 3 entries from each poll will be put into a final poll, where everyone may vote again (with a more narrowed list). The one with the most votes, will be drawn by myself for free, and posted in my art thread for all to see.

     

    Thanks to everyone in this forum, I hope you enjoy my little contest. Without further delay, please feel free to post your submissions in this thread.

     

    Let the games begin!!!

    Heh heh. Well, I've only seen 4 people here post in this thread saying they are interested. Not really worth doing unless you have around 20 entries or so... Would have to see more interest before going ahead with this...

     

    It makes for a very wide variety of submissions. :)

    I am sure lots of people would want one, but when it comes down to it, you probably won't see a lot of people who will spend the time to write out a full character background, costume design description, as well as a full character sheet in a post. That is how I would limit the contestants. Only the people who reeeeeeally want one will spend the time to do it.

    If I were proven wrong, and there were a lot of entries however (I will be seriously surprised if this happens)... I would need a way to pare them down but keep the competition fair...

     

    I think maybe I could break up the entries into multiple polls (almost like playoffs). Then consolidate the best 3-5 in each poll into one final poll to determine the final winner. "There can be only one..." Highlander playoffs baby!

     

    Would that sound fair? Or can anyone think of a better way, or more fun way?

    I actually thought of having a contest for a free drawing.

     

    Like start a thread to have each person submit ONE entry only per person (could be hero or villain). Then I would make a list based on all those entries (if there was a lot), then posting a POLL for everyone here to vote for the one in that shortened list as to which one they would like to see...

     

    The entries would have to have a full Character sheet, background, and costume design description (and any other flavour the poster thought appropriate)...

     

    Not sure if people would like that or not tho. :help:

    Well she isn't really Mayan per se. She harbors a gem which contains the soul of the real Mayan princess which gives her powers... But doesn't that make her the new princess? :king:

     

    Many thanks! I'm GMing that game. Your pic is good inspiration for new plans and writing for the character.

    Great drawings and colors all 'round. Once more, thanks.

     

    The character concept is very fresh and interesting. I really enjoyed drawing this, it is definitely a character that a campaign could be built around. I only wish I was the one who thought of it. Trickster Priest and I spent hours collaborating over the costume design and I am happy with the outcome.

    Here is my latest commission work in progress for Trickster Priest who is in these forums as well as HeroCentral. Here are the inks. I will post the colors when they are done.

     

    It is a Mayan/Incan based superheroine. Costume design was a collaborative effort between him and I.

    Well it is the weekend again, and here I am drawing again! Go figure?

     

    Anyways, I thought I would post the pencils for a cover I am working on for a fansite. I will be inking and coloring this most likely with cell shading...

     

    I hope you can recognize these characters. :)

    Seriously tho. I based it off of the character picture he posted which has a long mane of hair. You know I "generally" draw what people ask for...

    Good to hear! I know you didn't ask for a background, but this was very simple, and took me less than 5 mins to do. It is not something that I would normally charge for. ;)

     

    Some people just want a white background (so they can crop them and put them in character sheets and the like), so I hope you didn't mind. I thought the whole aura and lighting needed a shadow to add a little depth. I also took liberties in designing her super symbol, I hope everyone likes the design... :o

     

    Just so you know I didn't slack off on the coloring ;) , here is a zoomed in view of her eye. You can see individual hairs drawn. This was colored at 600DPI, it is fully printable.
