But, that aside, it seems to be a well thought-out design. With a bit a work, there could be an entire conspiracy that only the sortilege mages even know about it and is a bigger secret than their continued existance. Thats certainly one of the spins possible. I try to write things with substance, but also vague and generic enough that GMs can easily slide the bits they like into their settings as they see fit.
