Steve, a weird rules question

Okay, I was thinking about te 4th editions Champions,most specificaly Solitaire and Widget, and how I would have built them (you know I am a tinker)

 

Got me thinkng however, can a character (MOST LIKELY a follower, but maybe another player character) take a naked power advantage without having any powers it can be used on

 

For Example

 

Widget's aid: 1/2 End on up to 80 pointsof magical power (20 base points)+Ubo (+1/4)=25 points

 

Of course anything like this a GM would have to watch very closely (for that matter the minute I see UBO on a follower I worry )

That's up to the GM. Nothing in the rules specifically forbids it, but obviously many GMs are going to look askance at such things. It might be more legitimate to buy the Follower an Aid power of some sort.
