Silbeg
When a character has a Damage Shield that is AE (such as the Sunfire Mantel from USPD), when does the damage shield trigger? For further clarification, I will give an example: Kid Comet has the following power: Cometary Tail: Sight and Hearing Groups Flash 2d6, Area Of Effect (One Hex; +1/2), Damage Shield (+1/2), Continuous (+1) (45 Active Points); Brass Bullet (a move-through specialist) attempts to perform a Move-Through on Kid Comet. Does Brass Bullet take the effects of the Flash: Upon entering the hex (before striking Kid Comet)? Upon Entering the hex, as he strikes Kid Comet? After he strikes Kid Comet? Based on your statements in http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15443&goto=newpost you seem to imply that a character is personally immune to his own Damage Shield. Is this true? Steve Long
Re: AE Damage Shields A character entering the Shield field takes damage upon doing so, and every one of the Shielded character's Phases thereafter that he remains in the Shield field. I'm not implying a character doesn't take damage from his own Damage Shield -- I'm stating it directly. It would be pretty darn pointless if a character suffered injury from his own Damage Shield.
