MicroMike
I need help in figuring out how to make an item....the background is our Fantasy Hero group is being challenged by a group of Chronomages who can undo some of our actions in the past. Needing a way to neutralize their power, I have found an ally who can make the Hourglass of Immutable Time. Here is what it does: Flip the Hourglass. The sands run for one minute. During that time, you take any actions as normal. When the sands run out, the prior minute becomes locked into history, and cannot be altered or changed. (By Time magics anyway) How do you build this in Hero, and what would be the active point cost?
Blue Jogger
Re: The Hourglass of Immutable Time Unless the players can make these, then make it by GM fiat. Otherwise... Change Environment over the area to unalterable timespace. The GM must allow all time magics have a -0 Limitation, Unable to alter time in the unalterable timespace area (defined by the Change Environment area running at that time). It's a -0 since it is the default.
Markdoc
Re: The Hourglass of Immutable Time Or, failing that, a sizeable area-affect suppress versus time magics (that probably qualifies for a -2 limit, unless you have a lot of chronomages running around). If the charge lasts 1 minute, anyone attempting to reach back and interact with that one minute would be affected by the suppress, which would still be in action at that time. If you want the suppress to cover a large area just mega-size it. Does that make sense? cheers, Mark
MicroMike
Re: The Hourglass of Immutable Time I like the Change Environment idea, I had the notion that it was just to change the weather and such, but after looking over the power, it can do much more. Thanks.
