I would count each of them separately. Crystal is much weaker. Jack is technically as powerful if not more powerful than Zebra Girl. If anything, he's not a disadvantage. He's a perk for her given he can be a positive asset for her, so I wouldn't put him on the Disad list.

He is growing out of the disadvantage stage, but I don't think he's gotten there, yet. Look at the 'pulling the nail out of the thumb' error, and his uselessness against the Doyenne. He tracked her down and became 'instant hostage -- just add water'.
