Spell Limitation

Hugh Neilson

Question

Thewre's likely an obvious answer I'm overlooking. I don't have the books with me, but the spell which gives rise to my question was Divine Magic in either in FHG I or Turakian Age, I think the latter. It was similar to the Turn Undead talent, adding +50 PRE only for PRE attacks against undead or infernal beings, with the usual slate of limitations. However, it included the Spell limitation.

I can't think of how one would use the combat maneuvers and modifiers prohibited by the Spell limitation with a PRE attack. Can you elaborate on what could be used without that limitation?

Thanks

Re: Spell Limitation

I'd rather leave that to each GM to decide for his own campaign. A spell that simulates or enhances turn undead-style abilities seems sufficiently offensive to me to justify applying it; GMs who'd rather not can remove it (just use one of the options that involves removing a -1/2 Limitation to determine the cost).
