Forming barriers with Entangles

SirViss

Question

I know a barrier formed with an Entangle can be up to 1 hex (3 hex-sides) long per BODY of the Entangle, per the rules. I just want to be sure of 2 things:

  1. A barrier formed this way can only be 1" tall, right? Can you gain greater height by allocating 1" to height (like with Force Walls)?
  2. I know that if you manage to connect both ends of the barrier together that said barrier isn't supposed to be closed at the top or bottom. But what if you have extra (unused) inches, could you use those to form a "ceiling?

Trying to head off some arguments I am sure to have in the future, since I now have an Ice-Blaster in my game. Guess what power she has. :)

Thanks ahead of time!

Re: Forming barriers with Entangles

Ah, a wise GM who anticipates his players' imaginativeness. ;)

1. A barrier formed by an Entangle cannot normally be taller than 1”. However, (a) the GM can allow a character to put one barrier on top of another, as described in the Rules FAQ, and (B) the optional Larger Wall Adder described on FH 114 allows characters to buy barriers that are taller.

2. No.
