Dust Raven
Those of you who've read the Champios genrebook are probably familiar with the Quick Superhuman Generator and the various sets you can randomly roll (or just pick) to make a superhuman character in minutes. What I'd like to focus on is the Skill Sets. I love the idea of using Skill Sets for fleshing out a character. I typically like to leave between 30-50 point after Powers and Characteristics when making a character for Skills and Perks. What I'd like to do is expand and diversify the list in the book. What I need help with is creating all of these sets. I'm looking for sets between 10-30 points, each set containing all the Skills common to a particular vocation or hobby. I suppose another way to look at it is like Package Deals. I'm not looking for all the Perks (or anything else) that might go with the Skills though, just the Skills such a character would have. Examples of the stuff I'm looking for would be: Thief, Parapsychologist/Psychic Investigator, Arcane Master, Policeman, FBI/CIA Agent, Special Forces Operative, Spy, Robotics Engineer, Rennasiance Artist, Medical Doctor and stuff like that. So what Skill Sets can the Hero Collective come up with?

prestidigitator
Re: Skill Sets I love Skills. I'm just lazy. Okay. Here's one. I'm assuming every Skill included does not have to be known by everyone in the vocation (or set of common vocations). Artisan Analyze: Quality of Craftwork Bureaucratics KS: Craftsmen KS: Craftwork KS: Local Buyers and Sellers PS: Artisan (or specific vocation: jeweler, blacksmith, architect, etc.) Trading Some other useful add-ons: Inventor Persuasion Streetwise

I'm assuming every Skill included does not have to be known by everyone in the vocation (or set of common vocations). Cool! Thanks! I'm lazy too, that's why I'm asking everybody on the boards to do all my work for me . I have some ideas I'm still working on, once I have about 4 or 5 done I'll post them to give examples of what I'm looking for. To clarify (or correct) your assumption, I'm looking for sets that include only skills that "all" members of that profession/vocation/hobby/activity would logically have. Certainly not all people would have them all, or most would have skills in addition to whats on the list, but for the most part, I'm looking for sets that are plug and play. So if I'm making a new character who I want to be an ex lawyer turned private investigator (because things became to personal) and has a hobby in learning about (or just believes in) the supernatural, I can just pick the appropriate skill sets and go. Lanith
Re: Skill Sets I'm not terribly familiar with Skill Sets, but I'll take a stab at some skills for a Theif. Theif Stealth Streetwise High Society 8- Shadowing 8- Conversation 8- Persuation 8- Bribery 8- Depending on specialties any of the following can be included: Security Systems Forgery Lockpick Sleight of Hand I'm sure there are a million and one other things you can focus on as a theif, but I look at those and think of them as a decent "core" to start around. PS: I'll work on more later.
